James W. Farrell, M.D.
Ophthalmologist

Originally from Pennsylvania, Dr. Farrell earned his medical degree from the Louisiana State University in New Orleans in 1983. Dr. Farrell completed an ophthalmology residency at the L.S.U. Eye Center, also in New Orleans. In addition, he has a Master of Social Work Degree from Syracuse University, and he has been practicing ophthalmology in the Peoria/Pekin area since 1989.

Dr. Farrell is Board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. He holds an appointment as Clinical Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of Illinois School of Medicine, Peoria. He is on staff at all three Peoria area hospitals and Pekin Hospital.

Dr. Farrell resides in Pekin with his two daughters. He is an accomplished nature photographer, and you may find some of his work on display in the Pekin office.
